NI Cyber exists to promote the expertise of >35 companies from NI, identifying opportunities for business and national/international collaboration, and promoting career opportunities in cyber security.

The Northern Ireland Cyber Security Cluster • Work on knowledge transfer – Knowledge sharing is key to the success of clusters. Cyberveileg holds information exchange sessions to support and grow specialties, and encourage innovation and collaboration • Partnership with other regions – The Hague Security Delta runs events with international partners such as Israel’s Cyberspark to scope for joint business projects and value chain linkages • Raise profile of members and give an impetus to action – Cyber Ireland’s Cyber Security Month • UK cyber clusters - Whilst each cluster has an individual regional focus, many are keen to learn from other clusters. More collaboration would enable clusters to see how they ‘fit’ into the national picture, thus strengthening their sense of purpose. DCMS is interested to support clusters to strengthen their region, which will in turn strengthen the national UK offering. • Create the ‘atmosphere’ or the ‘ecosystem’ for collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs and investors. There is convincing evidence that companies working in collaborations/clusters are more innovative and consequently more successful and profitable.
